Manage Your Weebly Blog's Comments

In Weebly, comments on your blog posts are turned on by default. This allows your visitors to comment on any posts you've made, unless you turn comments off for that particular post in your Blog Settings area. Comments appear underneath each individual post in the order in which they were added. 

Reply to Your Comments

You should reply to your comments using the same commenting feature your readers use. To reply to your comments:

  1. Log into Weebly (you can also do this via the blog commenting area within a post on your site)

  2. Navigate to the post you want to comment on or reply to

  3. Click the Reply button underneath the comment you want to reply to

  4. Add your comment and save it; your comment will be highlighted in blue to set you apart as the site owner 

    If you, or any other commenter, replies directly to another comment that comment will appear directly under the original comment and will be part of that comment thread. Any other replies to that comment will appear as part of the same thread too.

Access New Blog Comments

We automatically notify you of comments to your blog via the email address associated with your account. You can change the address the notification is sent to in the Blog section within your Settings. Comments on your posts can be read on your site's backend in the Blog Comments area for the blog in your account.

To access the Blog Comments section:

  1. Log into your Weebly account

  2. Click the More button adjacent to the the site you want to view the comments for

  3. Choose Blog Comments from the dropdown menu 

  4. In the comment area that populates, read the comments by clicking them

  5. If comment moderation is turned on you can delete or approve comments for all the blogs on the site by ticking the box to the right of the comment you want to edit and then click the Approve or Delete buttons near the top
