Edit or Remove Your Weebly Site Footer
Posted by ASO Admin on 26 February 2020 08:16 AM

Every Weebly website includes a footer by default that links back to Weebly.com. You can definitely remove this, though, if you prefer... or edit it! The ability to edit or remove your footer is a feature of either the Starter, Pro or Business service plans. If you are on the free plan, you gotta upgrade first.

To edit or remove your footer:

  1. Upgrade your plan from the free plan:

    1. Click the downward pointing arrow next to the Weebly 'W' in the top right-hand corner of your Weebly dashboard

    2. Click Upgrade Your Site and continue through the upgrade process to completion

After you upgrade, the Footer section of your site becomes completely editable.

  2. Scroll down your page to the Footer and click on it

You'll be directed to the Footer editor.

  3. Delete the text element present there, by clicking the 'X' in the corner, or delete the text inside of that element to remove the footer

  4. Add any content, if desired, to the footer area by dragging elements from the left onto the footer (like Forms, Links, Social Icons, and pictures)

Whatever you add to the Footer will appear at the bottom of every page of your site. You can leave it blank, or add info like we've added in the image above.

  5. Click the Save Footer button to save your changes
