You can turn any text OR image that you enter on your site into a link really easily. You can link to another site, a page on your own site, a downloadable file or an email address. Check out this short video and read the detailed instructions below the video to learn how.
To create a link within one of your website pages:
Log into Weebly and navigate to the page (within the applicable website) that you want to add a link
Click within a element on one of your website's pages
Highlight the text or image that you want to turn into a link with your mouse
Text
Image
In the Editing toolbar that pops up click the chain link symbol (if you're linking an image you'll be directed to your link options once you click the Link fly-out, as shown above)
In the following pop-up box, you can choose what kind of link you want to create
Link to a page on another site (with the choice to have that link open a new window, so your website window still stays open when they click on the link)
Link to a page on your own site (just select the page from the dropdown)
Link to a downloadable file; this can be a PDF, PowerPoint, regular old image, Word doc and more (select the file from the dropdown menu or upload a new one with the Upload a new file link)
Link to an email address; will cause visitor's mail program, like Outlook or Apple Mail, to open
Note: if the visitor is not using an external mail program like the above the link won't work and the visitor will need to copy your address and paste it into their manually-created email.
Click the Save button when you're finished adding your link
Click Publish, in the top right-hand corner of the page to make the link changes live on your site
