Create a Product Storefront for Your Weebly Site
Posted by ASO Admin on 26 February 2020 06:48 AM

Weebly's Storefront feature helps you to turn your Weebly site into an e-commerce website in a few easy steps. You can figure your Storefront, your website's online shop, in your Weebly dashboard, where you manage everything else related to your Weebly site.

Your Storefront is essentially a well-organized Table of Contents that displays the products and categories in your store in an organized and easy-to-understand fashion. Think of it as your store's homepage. It'll look something like the following example from Dang Shades.

In order to set up your dynamite new Storefront, you have to first create appropriate categories for your various items. You can go over that process in our Organize Your Storefront with Categories article. You also have to add products to your shop, which can be done manually or by importing them from a spreadsheet or an existing online shop like Etsy or Shopify.

To start setting up your Storefront :

  1. Log into Weebly and navigate to the website you want to add a Storefront to, if you have more than one Weebly website

  2. Click Store, from the top of the page

  3. Click Storefront, from the left-hand sidebar

  4. Add Storefront categories for your items, a la the Organize Your Storefront with Categories article

  5. Determine what products you want to feature in your Storefront

Featured products display directly beneath your categories in the Storefront Table of Contents, making it easy for a customer to see them when they visit your page.

  6. Click the Select Products button to choose which products to feature on your Storefront

  7. Tick and untick the boxes of the products that populate in the dropdown box

Once ticked, those products will immediately show up in the Category Products list.

  8. Click + drag the products up or down to change the order in which they'll be displayed on your site

A Storefront for a clothing store that included three product categories and featured four products would look something like the following.

  9. Click the Update Changes button near the bottom to make those changes live on your site

Your Storefront should automatically appear as a link in your site's navigation menu. If it doesn't (otherwise skip to step 12)...

  10. Click Pages from the top

  11. Click the Add button in the left-hand sidebar and then click Store Page from the options

That will add your Storefront page to your website's navigation.

If you want to give the page a name other than 'Store':

  12. Click Store in the left-hand sidebar (make sure you are within the Pages tab)

  13. Enter a new name for your Storefront

  14. Click the Save & Edit button and then the Publish button

Your Storefront should now be named something else in your site's navigation.
