The Slideshow element in Weebly allows you to show off your photos in style. The image you upload into the slideshow element appear in slideshow form, rotating through each. To add an image gallery to your site:
-
Log into Weebly and navigate to the page (within the site) in which you want to add your image slideshow
-
Click the Build tab, at the top of the page
-
Drag the Slideshow element (in the Basic section in the left-hand sidebar) onto your page, where you want the slideshow to appear
-
In the Choose a Slideshow Style box that opens, select which style of slideshow you prefer (this can be changed later)
-
For the purpose of this example, let's choose Thumbnails on Bottom as our option
-
Click the Continue button when you have chosen your slideshow style
-
Either drag images right from your desktop into the upload box OR click the Upload gallery photos from your computer button that appears when you click on the icon
Note: you can select multiple images by holding the CTRL (Windows) or COMMAND (Mac) key down when selecting your images.
Depending on how many photos you selected, it may take a few for your images to upload. Once they're done being uploaded you'll see them all in the image management screen.
-
Link the images elsewhere via the chain link icon
-
Add a caption, which will appear in the slideshow, to the images via the comment bubble icon
-
Trash the images via the trashcan icon
-
Click the images and drag them around in the gallery to rearrange their order
-
When you're finished editing your slideshow click the Save button
The slideshow will populate now as part of the page.
-
In the Slideshow toolbox that becomes visible when you click on the slideshow gallery, you can control other slideshow editing options:
-
Add/Edit - bring up the Manage Photos dialog box we saw earlier to add or edit your photos in the slideshow
-

-

-
Advanced - set Autoplay to On or Off (it's on by default) and determine if you want the slideshow to always play in order or to play randomly when loaded
The slide show will automatically expand to the width of the page or column in which you've placed it. Need help? Lost? Give us a shout... we'll help out.
