Setting Up an Email Address

By default, email is not configured for new accounts on A Small Orange's servers. You can create email addresses for each account you wish to use, however. Note: the following examples assume your domain name is called 'example.com' and your cPanel username is 'example'. Creating an Email AddressTo create your very own email address:
Using the Default Address/Main AccountEnabling this is not recommended. To enable a default address or main account:
This enables all email addressed to an address other than the one created above to be delivered to your cPanel main account. Forwarding MailIn the Mail section of cPanel click Forwarders. Here you can add an email forwarder or a website forwarder. Note: the mail for a forwarded email address will still be delivered to the original sent-to address as well. If you just set up a forwarder, the mail will not be kept locally. If you set up the email account AND a forwarder, then your mail will be kept both locally and forwarded. | ||||
