What is Web Disk?

Web Disk (also known as WebDAV) is a drag-and-drop interface in cPanel which allows you to access your website's files as if it were a local drive on your computer. Web Disk is an obsolete technology and majority of modern operating systems do not support it anymore.

Enable Web Disk

Due to a possible security issues Web Disk is disabled by default on newly built A Small Orange servers. Enable Web Disk for your cPanel is extremely easy. To get started:

  1. Log in to WHM

  2. Navigate to Service Configuration, then Service Manager

  3. Tick the 'Enabled' option next to cpdavd (cPanel DAV Daemon)

  4. Save your changes

If you'd like us to enable Web Disk for you jut contact Customer Support and we'll get you set up.

Install Web Disk

  5. Click Download Quick Start Script

  6. Save the file to your computer
