What is an EPP Code?
Posted by on 02 July 2012 03:04 PM

An EPP code is a unique identifier used by registrars that only the registrant can access. It is specifically used for domain transfers, to verify that the registrant authorizes the transfer. When you're transferring your domain over to A Small Orange, you have to request the EPP code from your current registrar before we can help facilitate the move. You use the EPP code in the 'Configure Your Domains' step of ordering a new transfer with us.

See all the domain transfer steps in our Transfer Your Domain article.

If you registered your domain with A Small Orange, you'll need to submit a ticket to Billing in order to retrieve the EPP code to transfer your domain away from A Small Orange.
