Posted by on 02 July 2012 03:01 PM

What is a Registrar Lock?

If you have a .com, .net, .org, .name or similar domain name, the registrar lock is a block placed at the registrar level to prevent people from transferring the domain name unintentionally. You must log in and remove the lock prior to initiating any domain registration transfers.

Unlock Your Domain

If you registered your domain name at ASO, you can unlock your domain via these instructions:

  1. Log in to your Customer Area https://customers.asmallorange.com/clientarea.php

  2. Click My Domains

  3. Click the View Details button next to the domain in question

  4. Scroll down to the Registrar Lock checkbox

  5. Tick the box to lock the domain or untick it to lock it
