You can add tags to your blog posts, which categorizes them via a list on your sidebar. That way, when people come to your blog they can click on a category from the sidebar and then be directed to all posts you've made within that category. It's just another way of getting your readers to the content they want to read.
To add tags to your blog post, and to therefore categorize your posts:
Log into Weebly and navigate to the website blog of your choosing from your list of Weebly sites
Click the Build tab at the top of the page, if you're not already within it
Click on the blog post that you want to add a category to, if your post isn't already created
If your post isn't created, click the New Post button at the bottom of the screen to create and publish a new blog post
When clicked into your blog post click the Post Options button in the far left-hand corner of your screen
An options box will slide up from the bottom. In the Categories section you will see all tags already assigned to this post with an 'x' next to them.
Click the Add Categories button
Start typing a category into the search box
Click the matching result that populates to add it to your post as a category tag
Click the 'x' next to any tag to remove it from your post
Once you add a category tag, it's available for future posts. Any tags that you use in the Categories section of your blog posts will show up in your blog's sidebar.
Tip! We recommend using a little restraint when creating tags, since tags turn into Categories, which show up on your blog's sidebar. If you keep the number of Categories to a minimum (maybe 20 or less) it'll be easier for visitors to find the posts that interest them the most. Creating a new tag for almost every post makes the Categories difficult to navigate and less useful for you or your visitors.
